don’t hesitate - SEPARATE, a game in which we would like to:
- show you that refuse contains valuable material
- make you aware that much of this material can be used again or recycled
- motivate you to avoid creating refuse
- teach you to differentiate between different types of refuse
- induce you to separate all refuse
- teach you to recognise dangerous waste and the importance of its separation
- familiarise you with the respective legal regulations about waste disposal,
which are printed on the back of the poster.

Unfortunately, many of our fellow citizens do not have the chance to separate refuse; they are forced to put all refuse in one container. We recommend them to send a postcard to the responsible persons in their city, asking them to make containers available for the separation of refuse.
By separating refuse, we reduce the volume of refuse at communal refuse dumps, save raw material, energy and money, and we respect our legal obligations!

Refuse that has valuable attributes which can be utilised must be collected and stored separately in a way that said refuse can be managed in accordance with the regulations of this law.
Article 25.

Dangerous refuse must be collected, stored and transported separately, with each type of dangerous refuse being separated from harmless and communal refuse.
Article 26. THE LAW OF REFUSE OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA

The game can be played by a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of five (5) players.
- Mix the cards and stack them with the pictures facing up.
- Each player receives eight (8) cards. The rest of the cards remain in the “bin” on the table.
- The players place their cards, picture up, on the table.
- The game begins with the youngest player.
- The players must look carefully at their cards. If they have two cards which belong to the same type of refuse, they must take them and say what type of refuse they belong to - for example, plastic. Then these cards must be placed in the centre of the table, picture down. If the two cards are indeed of the same type of refuse, then they must be of the same colour.
- The next player also chooses two cards belonging to the same type of refuse and places them in the centre of the table in the same way.
- If a player mistakenly places two cards on the table that have different types of refuse (different colours on the back!), he or she must take two (2) more cards from the “bin”.
- If a player does not have two cards of the same type of refuse, he or she takes one (1) more card from the “bin”.
- The game is over when the “bin” is empty, and the winner is the one who separates all his refuse first, or the one who is left with the least unsorted refuse.
